AI Consulting for Fatih businesses

A reader machine wants a place of its own: a fixed desk, a fixed socket, someone standing over it. If no such place exists behind your wholesale food or hardware counter around Karagumruk and Balat, or in the back room of a small hotel nearby, the only clear surface is the counter, and the scale already sits on it. In the tool we wrote for Vipkurum, a mark is read off the picture of the sheet rather than the optics of a device.

AI Consulting — Fatih

Fatih leans on the wholesale food and hardware trade around Tahtakale and on guesthouses and hotels. If your trade still moves on paper, an order slip is filled in at the counter and dropped in a box, a room check sheet stays in the housekeeper's pocket, and someone types the pile into a computer after closing. The work closest to this district's business profile is Vipkurum's optical mark reading tool, written for education technology. Where it does not overlap belongs here: a hotel front desk, wholesale order handling and till integration sit outside that tool, and we have nothing to show in those areas. Python and OpenCV pull the marks off the image, Node.js calls the reading service, and Laravel writes the result into a MySQL record.

  • What the reading takes in is a picture of the sheet rather than the sheet itself, so paper is captured where it was filled in and passes through no machine's lens.
  • An image analysis layer written with OpenCV works out where a mark sits, so the judgement happens over the picture instead of inside a device.
  • What we do not claim is written down: front desk systems, order handling and till flows fall outside this tool.

Why Algoriel

  • The image does the reading

Vipkurum reads optical form marks with OpenCV from the image of the sheet, not through the optics of a reader appliance.

  • Cropping apart from judgement

Image processing decides where a question begins and ends; the language model only binds the answer to it. The two jobs never mix.

  • Model output lands in a record

Vipkurum writes the answer key into the cropped question's own record instead of keeping it as a separate document.

  • A person has the last word

At Tahlil.com the model drafts the reading and a doctor approves what reaches the patient; an unapproved reading never appears on screen.

What we build

AI Consulting
  • Where no model is needed

Marks on an answer sheet are read from the form image itself; the threshold that decides whether a bubble counts as filled sits in the code, and no language model runs in that step.

  • Splitting the job in two

Computer vision sets the question boundaries; a language model then ties each answer in the key to its question. Cropping accuracy never rests on a model's interpretation.

  • Removing the hardware step

Marking stops depending on a reader device; when the form layout changes, we adjust the reading service in software instead of ordering new hardware or device-specific forms.

  • Turning existing material into a pool

A booklet page is split into individual questions, the answer key is written onto each question's own record, and the questions already on hand become the pattern for new ones.

  • Tying the output to a person

At Tahlil.com AI prepares the first reading, a specialist physician writes and approves the interpretation, and responsibility for the text that reaches the patient stays with the physician who signed it.

  • Queueing the generation

In Secretum text and images come out of two separate generation paths; image generation is not instant, so that work goes onto a queue, and the finished file is stored once instead of being regenerated in the feed. Secretum is the product we are building now.

Vipkurum optical mark reading — the mark comes off the picture, not a lens

The optical mark reading tool we wrote for Vipkurum's education platform. No reader optics are involved: an image analysis layer written with OpenCV works over the picture of the sheet and lifts the marks out of it. The input is the image rather than the physical page. Sheets are uploaded from a scanner, the reading service is called through Node.js, and Laravel writes the result into a MySQL record. The limit travels with it: the tool was built for exam marking, so hotel front desks, wholesale order handling and till flows stay outside it.

Working with Fatih teams, remotely

We have no office, so work for this city runs remotely and we do not offer on-site support. What was done, and why it was done that way, stays in writing. The project pages mark which builds came out of a partnership.

  • The first release ships as a working piece; extras follow later.
  • Every client we know of is in Turkey.
  • Decisions stay in writing; progress shows in working screens.

Frequently asked

  • There is no room behind our counter for a machine. Where does this get installed?

Nothing gets installed. The reading happens over the picture of the sheet, and that picture reaches the system from a scanner. No space has to be cleared, no socket run, nobody has to sit with it.

  • Our paper is not an exam sheet. It is an order slip and a room check list.

The tool was built for exam marking and we say so plainly. What carries across is not the subject but where the reading is done: whether a box is ticked is settled on the image. For a front desk or order handling we have nothing to show.

  • Is a language model doing the reading?

No. Mark extraction is image analysis written with Python and OpenCV, and no model takes part in that step. In AI consulting the first job is often deciding which step never goes near a model at all.

  • Would you not need to come to Fatih to see the sheets?

We keep no office and work entirely remotely. One picture of a sheet is enough for us to write down together what each box means. Vipkurum's tool never asks for the paper itself, so your sheets stay at the counter and only their images travel.

Let us look at which step needs a model and which one needs computer vision.
