Vipkurum optical marks — reading moved out of the device and into software
Vipkurum is education technology work. Marks on an optical form are lifted from the image of the form rather than through a reader's optics. Because the reading runs in Python and OpenCV, assessment does not depend on one device being in working order, and results can still be produced while that device sits with a repair shop. Forms are uploaded through the browser, the Python reading service is called via Node.js, and the result is written to a MySQL record on the Laravel side. Under the same roof the cropping tool produces the answer key. The scope is exam assessment, not internal competency testing.
